Incontinence
Pelvic Floor Exercisers and Incontinence Devices
Bladder leaks are common, and they are not something you simply have to put up with. A pelvic floor exerciser uses electrical muscle stimulation delivered through an internal probe or skin pads to contract the pelvic floor for you, which helps when those muscles are difficult to isolate or too weak to hold a squeeze on their own. The devices in this collection are used for stress, urge and mixed incontinence, in women and in men.
Choosing an exerciser
- Starting out: the Perfect PFE for women and Perfect PFE for men use preset programmes chosen by symptom type, so there is no dial to interpret.
- Nothing to hold: iTouch Go and the Kegel Toner are controlled remotely, with no lead running to a handset.
- More programmes and finer control: Elise 2 and Sure Pro give you a wider programme range and adjustable settings.
- Two jobs in one: UniCare pairs pelvic floor stimulation with a TENS programme for period pain.
Probes are consumables. Most exercisers arrive with a probe, but a probe is a single-user item with a limited life. Replacements and alternative shapes — including slimmer and biofeedback versions — are in the Probes collection, and Go Gel water-based lubricant should be used with all of them. If you are exercising after childbirth, our Maternity & Baby range covers the rest of that period.
Progress builds over weeks rather than days, and most programmes are designed to be run daily. Always read the label and follow the directions for use. Talk to your doctor or a continence physiotherapist before starting if you are pregnant, have an implanted electrical device, or have had recent pelvic surgery.
